New Federal Grant Opportunity: FTA's Rides to Wellness Demo Grants

Approximately $5.3 million in funding is available from the Federal Transit Administration's Ride to Wellness Demonstration Grants to find and test promising, replicable public transportation health care access solutions that support the following goals: increased access to care, improved health outcomes and reduced health care costs.

Eligible applicants include States, Tribes, and Designated or Direct Recipients for funds under 49 United States Code 5307, 5310 or 5311. Applicants must serve as the lead agency of a local consortium that includes stakeholders from the n4a transportation, health care, human service or other sectors.

N4a members may find this grant opportunity particularly interesting because one of FTA's goals is to fund projects that foster local partnerships between health, transportation, and home and community-based services and as such, Title VI's and AAAs have the opportunity to join a local consortium in their community and become eligible for funding as subrecipients.

A grants information webinar will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016, 3:30 p.m. EDT - 4:30 p.m. EDT. Register for the webinar here. The application deadline is Tuesday, May 31, 2016 and applications are accepted through the Grants.gov website.
