Three-Part n4a-SAGE Webinar Training Series on LGBT Aging Kicks Off Next Month

n4a heard from many of you that there is a need to build the cultural competency of your staff and providers around LGBT issues.

In hopes of helping to fill that gap for our members, we reached out to the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging—which is funded by ACL and administered by SAGE—for assistance. In March, a three-part n4a-SAGE webinar series will launch that we hope will be of value to not only your staff, but also to your local provider networks. Feel free to share information on the webinar series widely within your own networks, compliments of your n4a membership!

The webinar series will begin with an overview of LGBT aging issues, follow with a webinar dedicated to working with transgender older adults, and will conclude with a webinar focused on how to put these culturally competent ideals into practice in your agency. Links to register for each webinar are below and be sure to check out other resources from the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging.
