This year, as a partner with the Corporation for National and Community Service and the National Senior Service Corps, n4a is pleased to offer AAAs and Title VI programs participation in the senior volunteer promotion project and access to Senior Corps' web-based recruitment system. This state-of-the-art web site was developed to match older adults with high-quality volunteer opportunities in their communities.

If you haven't already explored this opportunity for your agency's volunteer program, do consider it now. To answer your questions, please refer to our page of "Frequently Asked Questions," and look at our Fact Sheet on the Benefits of Online Marketing.

Having free access to a user-friendly national database on the Internet offers you the benefit of reaching baby boomers and the new cadre of third-age volunteers.

Last summer, Senior Corps launched a national media campaign to bring attention to its web site - a reliable and exciting resource for AAA and Title VI agency volunteer programs and your prospective volunteers. Posting your volunteer opportunities on this web site will increase your agency's national visibility and give your volunteer recruitment efforts an additional edge. To look at the web site of the "Ask a Friend" nationwide campaign, go to www.volunteerfriends.org. Clicking "Search Opportunities Online" will lead you to "Fast Match" where you can pull up all the volunteer opportunities in your zip code!

Consider involving older volunteers in new and innovative ways. Having access to a national database for the purpose of marketing your volunteer program brings many tangible benefits to the AAA and Title VI program recruitment efforts.

As you expand your recruitment tools by using the Internet, you will reach a group of computer-savvy volunteers, and you will give your agency's volunteer programs greater exposure nationally.
