As the Aging Network continues to find new ways to serve older adults during the COVID-19 crisis, engAGED: The National Resource Center for Engaging Older Adults, funded by ACL and administered by n4a, has developed new resources to help the Aging Network address social isolation among older adults during this time.

engAGED COVID-19 Resource Center: This Resource Center contains strategies organizations serving older adults can use to help older adults maintain critical connections to the community. Visit www.engagingolderadults.org/covid19 to see examples from around the Aging Network. Have resources you’d like to add? Let us know.

Customizable Flyer: engAGED partnered with the Eldercare Locator (also administered by n4a) to create a flyer describing ways older adults can prevent social isolation and loneliness during this national health crisis through interesting, fun and meaningful engagement activities—with and without technology. Available for download in English or Spanish, you can also add your agency’s logo and contact information to the customizable versions (English and Spanish).

Share Your Story: As older adults around the country adapt to the realities of COVID-19, n4a members and their partners are adapting their programs and services to meet the increased need for services that reduce social isolation during this unprecedented time. engAGED wants to document how the Aging Network is meeting this challenge. engAGED will use your answers to the survey to develop future resources for aging professionals on how to keep older adults connected and engaged.
