House Advances Money Follows the Person

There was a flurry of activity this week in the U.S. House of Representatives to advance a bipartisan effort that would reauthorize the Money Follows the Person (MFP) program. The efforts would provide a bump in federal Medicaid funding to states for the MFP program, which enables older adults and people with disabilities to transition from institutional settings back to the community.

Celebrate Grandparents Day on September 9

n4a is encouraging its members to take part in Grandparent's Day. Spearheaded by Generations United, Grandparents Day is an annual campaign to encourage communities to "Do Something Grand" and engage with another generation. n4a encourages its members to use this as an opportunity to highlight the importance of helping older adults remain active and engaged in your community while promoting your intergenerational programs and service opportunities.
