A new article in the Journal of Aging & Social Policy highlights the rapid response mounted by AAAs combating the coronavirus pandemic in their communities, shifting service delivery models to meet the evolving needs of older adults. The article, Fast-track Innovation: Area Agencies on Aging Respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic, examines factors that contributed to the ability of AAAs to execute a dynamic response and how AAAs are positioned as key partners in a transformed health system.

Funding Opportunity for Mobility on Demand Projects
Accessible transportation is a key concern for many older adults. In fact, it is historically the top reason older adults and caregivers contact the Eldercare Locator. A new funding opportunity from the Community Transportation Association of America and partners, including n4a, will provide grantees with federal funding of up to $300,000 each to implement solutions that address barriers and issues older adults and people with disabilities may face with local transportation.
