Each year, this award recognizes AAAs and other aging and disability CBOs for the innovative approaches they have taken to address the needs of older adults and people with disabilities through strategic partnerships and contracts with health care entities such as health plans, health systems and more.

Serving Diverse Older Adults in the Aging Network

America’s population is not only aging rapidly—it is also rapidly becoming more diverse. Yet the specific needs of diverse older adults are often ignored, and many older adults may not seek supportive aging services due to fear of, and experiences with, discrimination and bias.
