Last week, more than 1,000 community leaders and innovators gathered in Savannah for n4a's 42nd Annual Conference and Tradeshow, breaking all-time attendance records for one of the Aging Network's most important conferences.

During the conference, aging professionals and experts from across the country led a wide variety of insightful panel presentations and workshops exploring issues ranging from building business acumen and health care partnerships to combatting social isolation among older adults and caregivers.

Following a series of intensive pre-conference sessions and workshops, n4a CEO Sandy Markwood led the opening General Session outlining new directions for the Aging Network and featuring remarks from n4a President Kathy Boles and Mary Lazare, Principal Deputy Administrator for the U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL). The following Welcome Reception in the Tradeshow provided attendees with an opportunity to make new connections with exhibitors and Aging Network colleagues.

During Monday's General Session, Rani Snyder, Program Director for The John A. Hartford Foundation, discussed the importance of evidence-based models for improving care for older adults and led a panel of physicians in a discussion on addressing the social determinants of health. Tuesday's General Session featured an inspiring address from Donald Tramuto, CEO of Tivity Health, on how attendees can build leadership to tackle emerging challenges and drive change in their communities and the aging field. In Wednesday's final General Session, AARP Foundation President Lisa Marsh Ryerson discussed the Connect2Affect initiative to combat social isolation and led a panel of AAA directors in discussing local strategies for addressing loneliness and isolation among older adults and caregivers.
