Technology Innovations to Support Older Adults

A new report, Emerging Technologies to Support an Aging Population, developed by the White House Office of Science and Technology in coordination with ACL, highlights six technological innovations that have the potential to improve the quality of life of all Americans, particularly older adults and people with disabilities.

Emerging Technologies to Support an Aging Population describes technological solutions that have the potential to help Americans live longer, healthier and more independent lives. The areas focused on in the study are: key activities of daily living, cognitive skills, communication and social connectivity, personal mobility, access to transportation, access to health care.
