Campaign to Prevent Financial Exploitation of Older Americans Launched!

In observance of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, n4a is proud to launch a new public education campaign, showcased in a USA Today story, focusing on the epidemic of financial exploitation scams targeting older Americans.

As part of this campaign, we are pleased to release two important consumer brochures, Answers on Aging™ Financial Exploitation: Safeguarding Your Money & Property (order) and the Eldercare Locator's Home Improvement Scams: Tools to Reduce Your Risk (order), which we hope you will find useful in your ongoing efforts to help protect your clients and the broader community from these scams. n4a members may receive the first 25 brochures for free, but you may also purchase bulk orders online. So order your brochures while supplies last!

We want to thank Wells Fargo Advisors for their major support of the Answers on Aging™ Financial Exploitation campaign. (We also want to acknowledge the expertise of the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in the development of the home improvement scams brochure. The Eldercare Locator's Home Improvement Scams brochure is funded by the Administration for Community Living.)

We hope you will join us in this important effort!
