Webinar: Securing the Future for Older Americans
Date(s): September 6, 2019
Time: 2:00 PM EST - 3:00 PM EST
Each year, millions of older adults rely on programs under the Older Americans Act (OAA) for access to food, transportation, caregiving and many other critical services. These programs help older adults live independently and allow them to remain part of the community. However, funding for the OAA is due to expire September 30, 2019. Reauthorizing OAA will best ensure the stability of programs that are vital to our nation’s aging population. Join NACo and the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) for a webinar on the importance of OAA when it comes to serving older adults in your county, and how you can works with your members of Congress to ensure the legislation’s swift reauthorization before the September 30 deadline.
Speakers:
HON. MARY ANN BORGESON, NACo President; Commissioner, Douglas County, Neb.
AUTUMN CAMPBELL, Senior Director, Public Policy and Advocacy, National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a)
