Jasmine Ng joined n4a in July 2011 as an Information Specialist for the n4a-operated, person-centered Eldercare Locator Call Center. She connected callers—older adults, caregivers and people with disabilities—to the services provided by Area Agencies on Aging, Title VI Native American aging programs and other national and local aging resources.
In November 2011, Jasmine was promoted to an Eldercare Locator Counselor, providing customized information to older adults, caregivers and people with disabilities to help them understand their long-term care choices, caregiver resources and transportation options. Jasmine now serves as the Eldercare Locator Resource Specialist and is responsible for the maintenance of the Eldercare Locator database of aging and disability resources provided by the Area Agencies on Aging and Title VI programs. She is a Certified Information and Referral Specialist in Aging and Disabilities (CIRS-A/D).
Prior to joining n4a, Jasmine worked as an Intake Coordinator for a nonprofit mental health organization in Falls Church, VA. She worked extensively with low-income immigrant individuals and families, refugees and survivors of torture and trauma. She also served as an Information and Referral volunteer for two years with another Virginia nonprofit. Her other professional experience includes position as a Psychometrician, where she conducted psychological testing and evaluations. Jasmine has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
