ADRC Coordinator
Provide assistance to the ADRC program by performing intake and assessment duties and follow up with those clients as needed while compiling data for reports. Locate Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging (M4A) resources as well as other resources for callers who request assistance. Possess a drive for superior customer service delivery– through attentiveness, clear communication skills, ability to use positive language, effective time management skills, goal oriented focus and ability to close with clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • M4A's ADRC Coordinator is the subject matter Aging and Disability expert for M4A.
  • This position carries a supervisory role in training, aiding, and assisting the ADRC Specialist(s) as needed.
  • Provides training to ADRC Specialists to ensure the Intake Specialists understand the requirements of the ADRC Program and have the subject matter expertise to be members of the ADRC team; also provides ADRC training to M4A staff members.
  • Attends all mandatory ADRC trainings and other program trainings as required or needed.
  • Assist ADRC with updates to the resource guide when new external resource information is obtained.
  • Introduce supportive services available to older adults, disabled adults and their families. Provide information, assistance, referral and linkages to M4A’s programs’ or with other agencies and programs, dependent upon particular needs.
  • Manage data collection, reporting and assisting persons thru the services available from the ADRC (direct service or referrals). Emphasis on inclusiveness of adult persons with physical disabilities including, and outside of, the traditional “aging” population.
  • Maintain and revise client records and service documentation based on client feedback. Collaborate with M4A staff eliciting feedback and recommendations ensuring client's ongoing well-being. Offer assistance to M4A staff and the general public regarding best practices and emerging trends in support and service programs available to older adults, disabled adults and their families.
  • Prepares and submits monthly and other ADRC reports as required or needed to the Alabama Department of Senior Services, and the M4A administrative team. Assist in compiling data for reports as requested. Conducts Quality Assurance on ADRC assessments and/or follow-ups.
  • Follows all policies and procedures of the Aging and Disability Resource Center Manual as published by the Alabama Department of Senior Services.
  • Knowledge of PeerPlace and ADRC assessments preferred.
