Program/Project Analyst, Principal (Evidence Based Program Coordinator)
The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency that focuses on issues critical to the region’s success, including growth and development, transportation, water resources, services for older adults and workforce solutions. ARC is dedicated to unifying the region’s collective resources to prepare the metropolitan area for a prosperous future. This is done through professional planning initiatives, the provision of objective information, and the involvement of the community in collaborative partnerships.
The Program/Project Analyst, Principal (Evidence Based Program Coordinator) is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, management, growth and expansion of the Evidence Based Program (EBP) Team. This team implements evidence-based programs that empower older adults and their caregivers to take control of their health and improve quality of life to remain healthy and independent in their communities. 
  • Work with Program Development Unit Manager to identify program priorities, outcomes and fee for service opportunities that support evidence-based program sustainability and expansion; 
  • Manage EBP program operations to ensure program goals and objectives are met.  This includes program identification, implementation, and fidelity; data collection, entry and analysis; lay leader recruitment, training, recertification and retention; program marketing and outreach, and related grant writing, oversight and deliverables;
  • Supervise staff, interns, and volunteers. Conduct performance evaluations, coordinate training, and implement hiring, discipline and termination procedures;
  • Serve as key representative to the Administration for Community Living (ACL) for the Chronic Pain Self-Management Program expansion grant; leads the Chronic Pain Self-Management Steering Committee; and manage direct coordination with all program partners, host sites and lay leaders to implement and meet all program deliverables; 
  • Build collaborative relationships with community organizations and other program partners to strengthen relationships, identify new program delivery opportunities and recruit evidence-based program participants;
  • Utilize data and emerging technologies to identify trends and best practices to maximize unit and staff efficiency; make recommendations for program and reporting improvements; and where appropriate, expand the scope of the program;
  • Prepare complex reports and documents; gather and analyze data; make presentations to community groups, stakeholders, partners, and elected officials;
  • Oversee program budgets and related reporting and invoicing;
  • Develop, update, and implement operating policies, procedures and protocols;
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, stakeholders, and the community;
  • Research and identify sustainable funding resources to support program expansion;
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support agency goals and objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (equivalent combination acceptable): 
  • Master’s degree in business or public administration, public health, human services or directly related field
  • Three (3) years of program administration experience
  • Certification or previous experience with at least one of the Evidence-Based Programs offered through ARC
  • Two (2) years of experience managing staff, volunteers, budgets and developing programs 
  • Experience working with older adults and understanding of aging and health programs
  • Experience with community outreach, collaboration building and program promotion
