n4a Disaster Relief Fund

When natural disasters occur, older adults are often the most affected. And while recovery begins immediately for many, older adults tend to take the longest time to recover. It is for this reason that n4a’s Disaster Relief Fund exists—to provide Area Agencies on Aging and Title VI Native American aging programs with vital support to help build and sustain their efforts to support seniors in their communities as they recover from hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters.

But recovery doesn’t happen overnight. In many cases, it can take years. That’s where n4a’s Disaster Relief Fund comes in. Since its creation more than 10 years ago, n4a’s Disaster Relief Fund has provided crucial resources to AAAs and Title VI aging programs and helped affected agencies meet critical needs of older adults in their communities.

Contributions to the n4a Disaster Relief Fund will help local AAAs and Title VI aging programs continue providing outreach and assistance to older adults in their communities by providing or helping purchase food, clothing, prescriptions, and other health care needs, as well as critical household goods.
